I think that we do not have to consider too much what religious in general say about homossexuality. Everything changes on earth, i.e. science changes (evolve) but only religion stands still supporting a very ancient view about many things. When priests and others say "it is against nature" I would like to ask these people what kind of nature they are speaking about. Science nowadays reveals to us the same nature they are talking about but with a deep understanding. Biology, Chemistry, Psicology and so on reveals to us a nature that are not conceivable when the sacred texts was written, that was inconceivable the people, including St. Paul or other saints, living that time. If we hope the church or other religious institution to allow us to live our lives happy, we will spend our lifetime waiting for that but this will never happen, we are just loosing our time. What matter if St Paul wrote against gay people? What Jesus Christ spoke against homossexuality?

It's not the first time in just a few years during Pope Benedict XVI's papacy, that a few of his Cardinals were in troubled water over what they said.

It's quite sad, because in my heart I know that I was born gay, and that didn't happened from a learned behavior or a lack of masculine role model in the house. We all have wounds, but these wounds are not pertaining to my sexual orientation.

And just because someone is a Cardinal, it doesn't mean that they know what they're talking about. Many are ignorant, and live in an insulated ivory tower, away from society.

Personally, I'm happy about being a Roman Catholic and attending Mass, it does help me a lot. And I also enjoy talking with you Joe! You're a great support!

And one have to think about why there's been gays throughout history to today. Is it because it's genetics? What I do know, is that we can't control people and order them all to be "heterosexual", that just doesn't make sense, after all the Catholic Church is not the National Socialist Party (nazis); they have to respect people for who they are (sorry, not everyone are white or have blue eyes) and if that is too hard for them to do, well maybe they don't truly know Jesus love.
