It could be step by step, it doesn't have to be big thing, but when it's done with love, the richness of that small gesture of help, goes a long way. Sometime I tell a construction guy "you're doing a good job" thumb up. Praying is the same thing; it has the power to change the course of our history, because it's that powerful. But how many people have said "I'm a good person, I don't need to pray" (I've heard that often in my own family) I think it's unfortunate, because then not much will change in their life. But you're right, being involved a bit in the community is a great way to BE a good person, and not just sitting on our ass.
