My Plan During Lent

Friday, February 19th, 2010

As I am sure you already know, we have entered into Lent. As most Catholics, I have been fasting and praying. So far I really haven’t done much of the third thing we are called to do during Lent, which is Almsgiving (acts of charity). I have made plans on to fast (such as not eating meat on Fridays) and for praying more during this season. But I really haven’t done much in regards to being more charitable. I do have some ideas on how I can be, but I just haven’t put them into practice yet.

Febuary Update

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Wow, I just checked my blog and seen that it has been about a month since the last time I posted anything. That is way to long to not post an entry. Sorry for such a long interval between postings, I will do my best not to let it happen again.

Anyways, things have been going alright with me. I wrote about how I was attending an anxiety and depression support group in my last posting. Well, since then, the group is no longer. One Nation Free from Poverty

I recently saw on the USCCB website that this month is Poverty in America Awareness Month. I would just like to ask anyone that is capable to make some form of donation to a local charity that helps the poor. If you are unable to make a finical contribution to an organization, please visit my blog posting websites that are changing the world and take the time to help the poor. All the websites offer free ways for you to assist the poor, not just in the US, but all around the world. Also please pray for those that are hungry, without shelter, and for those that are in worst situations then us.
